We warn you, once you read this post, you’ll never put tools in your backyard shed again. It’s time to find a new home for your lawnmower and start calculating the extra square footage you can add to your current living space. Yep, the lowly shed is experiencing a rebirth, due in part to a new series on FYI network called He Shed She Shed. And Inteplast Building Products is proud to have participated in the revolution.
Each episode of the He Shed She Shed follows two homeowners and designers in the ultimate male vs. female backyard shed showdown - as they build and design a unique he-shed and she-shed. The series also shows off existing sheds across the country and meets with the owners to learn about their inspiration in creating their unique outdoor spaces.
In the April 2nd series premier, two party-loving homeowners turn their sheds into backyard bars. In California, a pirate-obsessed guy turns his shed into a pirate pub, complete with a mast, sails, and secret bar. Meanwhile, in Austin, Texas, a mega-party hostess creates a tiki bar she-shed that’s built for entertaining her huge group of friends using Inteplast Building Products Decking on the interior to finish the floor, and on the outside of the shed to extend the entertaining area. You’ll be amazed at the transformation!
For this project, the designers used Acorn, in a solid color pattern, but Inteplast Building Products has six colors and three wood grains to choose from, so there’s an option for every style and taste. And Inteplast Building Products Decks are engineered to be durable, lightweight, low-maintenance, and moisture resistant, and there are no special tools required to work with Inteplast Building Products. Yet, their working characteristics are the same as traditional lumber.
The FYI series airs on Saturdays at 10pm ET/PT. Check out the trailer for the series premier here.
