Hello fellow DIY devotees, Martin here, and I’m uber eager to share some of my favorite projects from years past that make amazing holiday gifts for your near and dears. The good news is, these projects aren’t overly complicated at all so you still have plenty of time to get them made, wrapped, and under the tree, and they all use Inteplast’s moulding and trim products.
This necklace holder is the perfect gift for your wife, girlfriend, mother, or sister, or you can give it to anybody to use as a key rack or a dog leash holder, and it’s doable for even a beginner DIYer. Using Inteplast’s casing and moulding products in a wood grain or white, which you can find at Lowe’s or online at Houzz.com, you can make it any length you want. You can find all of the instructions and materials you’ll need here at our original post.
Bottle Opener Cap Catcher
We’ve all got that person on our Christmas list who loves craft brew beverages (like me!). This PVC bottle cap opener and catcher is the perfect gift to outfit a special someone’s deck, patio, or outdoor entertaining space. This DIY favorite uses Inteplast’s white trim product. Check out this post for instructions and materials.
Picture Frame and Kid’s Frame and Storage
I made these gallery-inspired frames using Inteplast’s prefinished moulding for my sister last year so she could show off my niece’s budding artistic talents. The best part about their prefinished moulding is that it’s easy to wipe clean without getting splinters!
Flower Vase Holder
This is one of my favorite projects. I made it for my mom for Mother’s Day and my Aunt Janie fell in love with it, so guess what she’s getting for Christmas this year (hope she doesn’t see this post). This flower box with Coca-Cola® glass bottle vases is made out of Inteplast Building Products PVC trimboard product. I love working with their Trim products because they’re the perfect sustainable wood-alternative, which means Aunt Janie can put poinsettias in these vases for years to come. This project might be a bit more detailed, but it’s still doable for all skill levels. You can find the instructions and materials list here.
We’ve made so many great projects in the past, there’s no way to feature them all. Here are some other great handmade gift ideas like a dog feeding station, wine rack, or a picture rail. Check out all of our inspiring projects on Design Next Door.
Hope you make out ok with the project. I’m always ready to talk shop, so let me know what projects you’re working on. Thanks for reading.
